Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Plain-language and deliberately short, because there is very little to say: your files stay on your device, and we collect almost nothing.

Who we are

PreviewAny is a trading name of M-Corp Management Limited (registered in England and Wales, company no. 11237747), the company responsible for your data. PreviewAny ("the Service") is a browser-based file preview tool at previewany.com. For any question about this policy or your data, email hello@previewany.com. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

What we collect, and what we don't

Your files never leave your device. When you drop a file into PreviewAny, it is processed entirely inside your own browser. Files are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We have no access to the contents of any file you preview.

The only data that reaches our infrastructure is standard, anonymous website data:

When you contact us

If you email us (for example to send feedback or request a file format), we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and reply to you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding. We keep it no longer than we need to handle your message, we never sell or share it, and we won't add you to any mailing list without your clear consent.

Legal basis (UK & EU GDPR)

We process the minimal data above under legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the Service secure and operational, understanding usage in an anonymous, non-intrusive way, and replying when you contact us.

Who processes data for us

Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting, content delivery, DNS, and TLS. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

There are none. Until July 2026 the typefaces came from Google and a few display libraries came from public code networks, so those companies saw your IP address whenever a page loaded. All of it is now served from previewany.com itself. Opening this site, or any file in it, contacts nobody but us. You can check that yourself: open the network tab in your browser and watch. One more thing is yours to control: while previewing a web page you can switch on online images, and if you do, the pictures and fonts that page points to load from whichever sites host them, so those sites see your IP address. It stays off until you switch it on.

International transfers

Cloudflare runs a global network, so a request may be served from outside the UK/EEA. Cloudflare maintains appropriate safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses where required).

Retention

We keep no independent copies of server logs (held by Cloudflare per their policy). Analytics are anonymous and aggregated. File contents are never collected, so there is nothing to retain.

Your rights

Cookies and on-device settings

We don't use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies, so no consent banner is shown. We save three small things in your browser, and all three stay on it: the language you chose, whether you picked light or dark, and your reading-contrast setting. All three are settings you picked, for you. We used to keep a fourth, a marker so we could tell a repeat visit from a first one, and we removed it in July 2026 because it was the only thing here that existed for us rather than for you. When you change one of these settings we record that it changed, never anything that could identify you and never anything about your files.

Children

The Service is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects any change.
